 01  Do you have to have a cash transaction card in order to recycle scrap metals at your location?

The answer is No, however in the event you cannot present a cash transaction card, you will receive payment in check form instead of receiving cash for anything other than TIN/STEEL OR ALUM CANS. If you wish to apply for a cash transaction card please ask any employee to direct you to the cashier office, our office team will be happy to assist you in getting a cash card.

 02  Are you open to the general public, if so is there a minimum amount of scrap metal you have to bring?

 

Yes, we are open to the public.  No, there is no minimum or maximum weight on the amount of metal you can bring in.​

 

 

 03  Do I need to make an appointment to drop off scrap metal?

 

No, no appointment is necessary. You are welcome to bring scrap metal anytime during business hours Monday - Friday 8am - 5 pm and on Saturday between 8am - 2pm.​

 

 

 04  Do you need a drivers license or state ID to sell scrap metal at your location?

​

Yes, you must present a VALID drivers license or state ID each time you bring the material to recycle, we also require picture and signature with each transaction.

 05  Do you recycle anything other than metal and electronics?

​

We only accept scrap metal and most electronics at our location, we do not accept televisions, computer monitors, remote controls, wood, pallets, plastic, glass, cement or trash of any kind.

 06  Do I need to be over the age of 18 to recycle scrap metal?

​

Yes, you must be at least 18 years old to recycle scrap metal at our location, we strongly encourage everyone to recycle, If you are under the age of 18 you must be accompanied by an adult.

 07  Do you have roll off containers that are available for commercial properties to assist in handling their scrap metal needs?

 

Yes, we have 30 and 40-yard roll-off containers to accommodate industrial commercial loads for a small fee. We do not Pick up for small loads, single items and we cannot pick up from residential properties, but those items can be brought in for recycling.​

 08  How can I schedule for a roll-off to be delivered to our companies job site?

​

You can call the office at 817-303-2214 or email contact@dfwmetals.com and our customer service team will be happy to gather the information needed to schedule for roll-off service.

 09  Can you price Insulated copper wires over the phone?

​

No, there are several different grades of insulated wires and cables we cannot give an accurate price with verbal description over the phone, you are welcome to bring a sample of your material to our location for pricing.

 10  How fast can you swap out commercial roll-off containers for large projects with heavy volume?

 

In most cases between 24-72 hours of a verbal request we are able to swap out your container, we understand the importance of timely swaps to meet project deadlines and keep the work environment flowing as smoothly as possible.​
